Coarse salt in the washing machine: find out how much to use for enviable laundry!

In recent years, there has been a proliferation of products for the care of household appliances, but if you want to have an efficient and clean washing machine, all you need to do is use coarse salt. Does this seem strange to you? This simple product has great descaling and cleaning powers that will help keep your appliance clean.

Coarse salt is also useful for counteracting limescale formation, as well as softening clothes. This feature even allows you not to use fabric softener and is suitable for all fabrics, without fear of causing damage. For each wash, simply put a handful of coarse salt (or a full coffee cup) in the basket.

This will also, in the case of whites, prevent the fabrics from yellowing. You can then soak them in water and salt (two tablespoons full of salt in 5 litres of water) and leave them for a few hours and then proceed with your usual washing. The result will be bright white garments that look almost new.

A – Use salt to remove stains: just put a spoonful of salt directly on the stain, leave for a few minutes and then soak in a container for half an hour. Once the time has elapsed, wash as usual. This procedure is also useful for rust and yellow stains.

B – Save the colours: place the garments that lose colour in water and salt for half an hour and then wash. You will get an excellent result (2 tablespoons of salt in two litres of cold water).

C – Softening function: you can use this product as a softener both by hand and in the washing machine. In the first case, just soak the garments to be washed in water and salt (3 tablespoons of salt in a bowl of water) for 30 minutes and then wash your hands. In the second case, add 4 tablespoons of salt to the wash and you will see that the clothes will be softer.

A simple and natural method that allows you to have optimal results without the use of chemical products.
