  1. Unclog and clean drains

To unclog drains in the house, you can’t go wrong with baking soda which remains among the most used solutions for this purpose. First pour  200g of sodium bicarbonate  down the drain followed by hot water then pour 200ml of apple cider vinegar down the drain. All you have to do is finish the job with a final spray of hot water.

It is also possible to unclog the pipes with other ecological products such as coffee grounds or citrus zest.

It is often quite  difficult to remove encrusted food  from pots and pans after cooking. To achieve this, apply a paste composed of baking soda and a little water to the utensils using a microfiber cloth, then leave to act for a few hours. You will then scrub with a sponge soaked in cider vinegar before rinsing carefully with clean water.

  1. Clean the oven

Here is a not very traditional method for cleaning the oven thoroughly and yet very effective. It consists of placing a dish of  cider vinegar  diluted in water inside  and turning on the oven at a temperature of 180°C for 30 minutes At the end of this time, you will turn off the device then sprinkle a little white powder inside. With a sponge soaked in water and vinegar, scrub the walls then wipe with a damp sponge.

Soak a microfiber cloth with a little apple cider vinegar and then wipe the entire area of ​​your refrigerator or areas affected by dirt. After wiping with a damp cloth, spread sodium bicarbonate in the area to be treated then wipe with a clean cloth. Also, do not hesitate to clean the joints of the device.

For carpets that are too dirty, sprinkle bicarbonate over the entire surface then leave to act overnight. In the morning, simply vacuum. Same process for mattresses.

  1. Using baking soda as a detergent to clean

If you want to make an “express” detergent to spray on different surfaces in your home, simply get a spray bottle then pour in a  liter of water and 3 tablespoons of bicarbonate.
