When you wash your laundry in the washing machine, have you noticed that the intoxicating scent completely disappears after a short time?

Well, then you might want to wash your laundry again and use more detergent to scent it again! But you don’t have to do that!

Today you will  learn some homemade tips   that  will preserve the scent on the laundry in the washing machine and make it last as long as possible.

How do you do your laundry?

To keep your laundry smelling good for longer, the most important step is certainly washing. If you make certain mistakes at this stage, it can cause bad smells. .

As a first step, I recommend that you  do not use too much detergent  to prevent residue from penetrating the fibers of the fabrics. These can  be responsible for bad smells .

You should also avoid short wash cycles as the clothes will not be washed optimally.

During the washing process, you should also  check the quantity of clothes to be washed.  Ideally, the drum should not be too full to ensure that clothes have the space they need to be washed and rinsed appropriately.

Finally,  remember to hang up the laundry immediately after the wash cycle is finished . This gesture prevents the creation of moisture, which will immediately make the good smell of the clothes disappear.

Which ingredients should you use to preserve the scent of your laundry?

In addition to the washing step, you need  to choose the right products  to keep your laundry smelling good for a long time. To do this, I recommend using natural ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. If not, they are very easy to find.

Below you will learn  how you can make a 100% natural do-it-yourself detergent  that can provide your laundry with a pleasant scent for a long time.

Mix  2 tablespoons of curd soap with one tablespoon of bicarbonate . Then add 10 drops of an essential oil of your choice to your mixture. Opt for orange, lemon, geranium, bergamot, or lavender essential oils, which are the most popular for scenting clothing.

When your mixture is ready, put some in the washing machine’s container and start the cycle. At the end of the washing process,   your clothes will be more fragrant than ever. .

Additionally, if you  want to use a natural product that can act as a natural fabric softener, do not hesitate  to use citric acid .

Prepare 150 grams of citric acid in one liter of distilled water and add 3 tablespoons of the resulting mixture to the washing machine container along with a tablespoon of salt and a teaspoon of flakes of curd soap.
